Lunar Studios is Canada’s first music platform dedicated solely to creating music for social change. The platform works with artists to bridge music and business, art and policy, and to inspire wellbeing and creativity within our labourforce.

The Lunar Studios annual residency program empowers rising Canadian artists to use their music as a tool for social change. We take a holistic approach to supporting artists in their personal and professional development as business owners, social change leaders, and creatives.

Lunar Studios 2022/2023 Artists in Residence (Meagan De Lima, Your Hunni, Madelyn Kirby) have created a policy-driven song inspired by Conscious Economics’ national grassroots research project, HeARTwork, which is designed to capture real stories and experiences of diverse women within the labourforce.

To write the song, the artists sat in on 6 deep listening sessions with diverse women across Canada, who shared their personal experiences navigating systemic barriers within the labourforce. HeARTwork offers a new policy framework featuring 11 solutions to address the barriers women face when pursuing leadership roles within corporate Canada, reclaiming the narrative of why women are choosing to opt out of the C-suite. The framework was co-created by 7 corporate champions, 7 community organizations, and diverse women across the country.

By sharing this ground-breaking research creatively, we invite more voices around the table. Through the intersection of research, art, and conscious dialogue, we're building an economic solution that addresses business and policy from a heart-centered space.
